The La Sportiva Kaptiva is the latest exciting addition to Sportiva's quiver of trail running shoes and is aimed at the performance end of mid to long distances. It's aim is to give maximum stabilisation and grip with minimal bulk.

So what's the big secret? Well La Sportiva have designed the Kaptiva as nearly a slip on sock with the whole upper knitted into essentially a slip-lasted shoe. This means the fit is snug but comfortable with stretch built in where you need it and reinforcement limiting movement where you need stabilising. Often an unstable shoe isn't just the fault of not having enough "stability" built into the model, but having space or unused volumes in the shoe - basically an incorrect fit. The knit construction of the La Sportiva Kaptiva dramatically reduces that possibility so you always have that perfect fit. 

The wrap-around uppers of the Sportiva Kaptiva are complimented by a compressed EVA and TPU midsole that has stabilisers and anti-torsion inserts, plus a dual density EVA rock guard insert. Then to finish it off there is a medium lugged tread that is suitable for a wide range of technical terrain.
